The coffee from the Rotheca Project is dedicated to empowering female producers in Burundi, lifting them out of poverty by providing education and microloans. Angele Ciza, a prominent female leader, purchased a washing station in 2012 and has since been offering agricultural training and education to producers in Kirundo. This coffee is decaffeinated using a 100% chemical-free process.

By utilizing the Swiss Water Process, caffeine is removed while preserving the coffee's natural flavors. Many people may have a preconceived notion about decaf, but this particular lot has an exceptionally smooth flavor integration, minimizing any negative attributes. It pairs well with espresso and iced coffee, and it also has an outstanding compatibility with milk.
